History

 The Island Academy was founded in 1995 by Sir Barry and Lady Dixie Bowen. It was created to enhance the education of the children in San Pedro. The Island Academy is a private, non-profit entity, providing the educational and social foundations necessary to allow and encourage children to develop their potential. The Island Academy continues to grow and thrive, but will never abandon its core values.
